REGENT RADIO NETWORK UPDATE

As some of you have no doubt noticed, over the past week RegentRadio.net has experienced a number of issues which has made it difficult for many of you to listen to our programming. We experienced a sort of "perfect storm" of problems, that were difficult to track down and at times out of our control. The good new is we believe these have now been resolved and we are now back on track.

In order to try to make this work for everyone, we will continue to broadcast the current Darrell Johnson "Discipleship on the Edge" on its current schedule for those who have managed to keep up on the lectures, as well as rebroadcasting the episodes which may have been missed during the technical difficulties. These will begin with lecture #9 on Tuesday, January 26. Please check the daily schedule for times.

Israel in the Time of Jesus

The purpose of this course is to examine the social, political, economic, and religious environment of Israel in the time of Jesus. Part of the course will look specifically at conditions in Galilee, the region where Jesus spent most of his life. While Jesus himself is not the focal point of the course, the readings and lectures will help to shed light on Jesus as a first-century historical figure.

Christopher Stanley is Professor of Theology at St. Bonaventure University in western New York. Stanley has published widely in the field of New Testament studies and his most recent book, The Hebrew Bible: A Comparative Approach, will be published by Prentice Hall in 2006.
